Why Bush and Forest Mobile Camp?
This is a small-medium mobile safari camp which follows the wildebeest migration in the Serengeti on a micro scale, guaranteeing migration sightings and amazing experiences! This truly mobile safari camp is a ‘moving experience’ that follows the wildebeest all year round.
The wildebeest move throughout the Serengeti-Masai Mara Eco-system, with more time in Tanzania and the Serengeti National Park. Bush and Forest mobile camp moves regularly to campsites within close range of the wildebeest – guaranteeing migration sightings. Amongst other Great Migration Camps draws inspiration from the pioneering safari days of old to recreate an experience that gets you right into the very heart of the incredible biodiversity that exists in the Serengeti.
Great Migration mobile camp focuses on the experience of being in the bush and encountering wildlife, especially the migration. First-class guiding with comprehensive knowledge of the terrain, geology, history, geography, environment, birds & wildlife, reliable vehicles and remote & intimate camping spots. Everyday requirements are not left to chance – they have great coffee, comfortable bedding and tasty wholesome food cooked over an open fire – all of which add up to truly unforgettable experiences!
A Bedouin-style stretch tent forms the mess tent and communal dining area and provides shade from the African sun. Underneath the shelters are the dining tables and camp chairs, which can be moved around the campfire for sundowners and fireside stories in the evening.
Bush and Forest mobile camp has five waterproof durable dome shaped canvas tents, offering double or twin occupancy for up to 10 clients. Each tent is high enough to stand in upright. Amazingly comfortable warm and durable linen with Masai Shuka’s. Each morning, hot water is brought to your tent for your private wash basin. None of the tents are en-suite and the outdoor ablution block makes use of a bio-chemical toilet (no smell!) and has two gravity-fed shower cubicles for steaming HOT showers every evening.
